A nearby lightning strike rendered a PC (among other electronic devices) lifeless with a chip obviously burned on the motherboard. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I gave Chris a call. He advised against repairing the PC, as it was older and there was no way to ascertain if other components were damaged without first replacing the motherboard. He was able to recover the data from the hard drive of the damaged PC and transfer it to a thumb drive. Problem solved. In an unrelated repair, I had a laptop that was gradually slowing to a crawl. Chris identified the culprit as a bad hard drive, and replaced the conventional hard drive with a solid-state drive, cloning the new one from the old one. The price was fair, and the laptop is literally better-than-new with the new SSD. Chris was easy to communicate with and always responded in a timely manner.
